Galleri Thomassen is pleased to present Inuti utflykten (Inside the excursion), a room installation by Jacob Andersson, which center around his piece Kojan ( The Hut), paired with drawings.

Jacob Andersson thinks a lot about the spaces we inhabit and how we experience them. Kojan, a simple wooden structure, functions as a shelter that changes depending on the environment. Built in a size to fit into his car it reflect his thoughts on self-sufficiency, self-preservation, accumulation and nature.

Jacob Andersson (b. 1986 in Ystad) lives and works in Gothenburg. He is currently doing his BFA in Fine Art at Akademin Valand in Gothenburg. He is the 2018 recipient of Våga Se’s Grant for Emerging Artists. It is given to a promising visual artist. The grant of 20 000 SEK can be used to fund all aspects of the development of new work.
