Galleri Thomassen is pleased to present Att leva under kapitalism, Ola Åstrand’s third solo exhibition at the gallery.

Ola Åstrand (b. 1959 in Helsingborg) lives and works in Tomelilla, Sweden. He received his education at Valand Academy of Art, Gothenburg (1986-1991). Selected recent exhibitions include Male Hysteria!, Konsthallen Trollhättan and Vänersborgs Konsthall (2018), and Ystad Konstmuseum (2017). Malmö Brinner, Moderna Museet, Malmö (2017), Varning för känsliga människor, Ystad Konstmuseum (2015), Love Explosion!, Göteborgs Konsthall (2013), I want to hold your hand, Borås Konstmuseum (2013). He is represented in numerous public and private collections, including the permanent collection of Moderna Museet, Stockholm, Malmö Museum, Uppsala Museum and Göteborgs Konstmuseum. He is represented by Galleri Thomassen. Male Hysteria! will travel and open at Luleå Konstmuseum in August 2019.
