Viktor Rosdahl

11 May - 2 June, 2019

New dawn for an old sun, Viktor Rosdahl’s first solo exhibition at the gallery consists of new paintings together with works that have been reworked and processed over a number of years.Rosdahl´s works address a diverse range of topics, connecting the past with the present as well as ideas about painting itself, methods of working and visual language. His paintings are based on pre-existing images. Images that he has collected for years. Some of the pictures are stored in different folders on his computer. Folders with titles like World War II, Demonstrations, Contemporary War and Politics, Clouds and so on.

These images are then reworked, appropriated, collaged together, through painting.
