Galleri Thomassen is pleased to present Tales from Nowhere, Olle Schmidt´s forth solo show at the gallery. In the exhibition he invites the viewer into a world of wonder, through a series of new paintings and objects.

Olle Schmidt (b. 1960) lives and works in Stora Aleryd, Ödeshög, Sweden. He holds an MFA from the Valand Academy of Fine Arts, Gothenburg (1994). Recent exhibitions include Time Traveller, Vetland Art Museum (2016), Explorer, Bomuldsfabriken / Artendal, Arendal, Norway (2016), Painting Failures, Moderna Museet, Malmö (2016), Dreamland, Domeij gallery (2015). His work can be found in the collections of Gothenburg Art Museum, Norrköping Art Museum, Statens Konstråd and The Stena Foundation, as well as in private collections. He is represented by Galleri Thomassen.

NIKLAS ENEBLOM – Meangirl Girlfight

Galleri Thomassen is pleased to present Niklas Eneblom’s project Meangirl Girlfight. This is the first time this series of paintings is shown in full.

Meangirl Girlfight consist of 9 paintings painted 2014-2016, all depicting scenes of different stages of the act of fighting. It is based on a detail in Full Moon Party, a previous painting by Eneblom. This detail depict a fight between two women. In the project Meangirl Girlfight he focuses on the action before during and after it is happening. Full Moon Party is in the permanent collection of Gothenburg Art Museum. 

Niklas Eneblom (b. 1964) lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. He holds an MFA from the Valand Academy of Fine Arts, Gothenburg (1996). Recent exhibitions include Thousand Layered Colander, Galleri Magnus Karlsson, Stockholm (2013), Spring Break, Thimas/Westling Gallery, Karlstad, Sweden (2013), The Romantic Postmodernism, Gothenburg Art Museum, Gothenburg (2015). His work can be found in the collections of Gothenburg Art Museum, Västerås Art Museum, Statens Konstråd, Norrköpings Art Museum, Sammlung Goetz, Munchen, Germany as well as in private collections. He is represented by Galleri Magnus Karlsson, Stockholm.
